Everyone likes to take part in celebrations and above all, children! In fact, show me a child who doesn’t like a party and I’ll eat my hat. But getting any kid to sit still for more than 5 mins is a challenge, to say the least…
Mehndi Yoyo brings together all those easy mehndi designs for kids that are straightforward enough to apply to your child’s hands without them having a tantrum! From fun large peacock mehndi designs to beautiful rose patterns, girls and boys can now enjoy the festivities even more by taking part in this fun ritual.
The easy mehndi designs for kids on Mehndi Yoyo are predominantly inspired from posts on Indian mehndi designs, however I will be on the look out for more mehndi designs for kids from other styles as well (such as Arabian mehndi design or Pakistani mehndi design for hands).
Oh, and you don’t necessarily have to be a child to enjoy the following designs!
Easy Mehndi Designs for Kids
1. Hello Peacock
This simple, charming mehandi design for kids can be applied easily and quickly. The fun glittery gold colour would suit both boys and girls alike. The design can be as big or as small as you like. Just scale it up as you wish and place it on a forearm, a hand or whatever the child wants. Remember, before you even get close to a child’s skin however, you must ensure that the mehndi paste that you use is 100% pure and does not have any PPD chemicals. The last thing anyone wants is to end up in visiting a doctor with an allergic reaction from children’s mehndi design. Mehndi parties are meant to be fun events, so I beg you to be extra careful (can’t emphasize this enough, especially for little ones) !
2. Peacock swirl
A simple, relatively quick design for a boy or girl. What’s nice about this simple mehndi design for kids is that it looks like a simple shape, but when you look closely, you can see a peacock head with three fun feathers and a nice round body. It’s quite curvy and may feel too feminine for a boy but depends on the age.
3. Twinkle fingers
This is for the little princesses out there! Use any colour glitter you wish, to suit the occasion. However, this gold and blue combo works really nicely. Easy mehndi designs for kids like this one will make them feel special on the day.
4. Teenage queen
Let’s not forget kids who aren’t, well kids. This is a simple, feminine design that would suit a slightly older girl (boys, I don’t think this one’s for you, unless you’re a fan of leaves and flowers). There is something quite bold and appealing about this one. It gets my vote anyway but I’m not a teenager! Keep checking in on Mehndi Yoyo as I will be adding posts, including simple mehndi designs for children on a weekly basis.
5. Minimalist swirls
6. Flowers and stems
7. Center heart and circle
